This orientation class is designed to introduce or re-orient Law Enforcement Managers and Clergy to Law Enforcement / Public Safety Ministry. It will address the scope of this particular Chaplaincy, its purpose, requirements, resources, limits, mission, benefits and pitfalls from both the perspective of the law enforcement agency and clerical perspective.


Upon completion of this class attendees will have a basic, practical understanding of the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Model, what it is, what it is not, its costs, benefits, resources, collaborative role, role in Death Notification, Stress Management, Assets & Liabilities, Confidentiality, Ethics, Crisis & Critical Incident Preparation, Intervention & Response, Ministry to the Law Enforcement Family, Ceremonies and Events. Attending managers and clergy will be better prepared to initiate or re-organize, re-vitalize a Chaplaincy Program with sound, current practice and policy.
