Robert Best Road, Egg Harbor Township
The following advisory is shared as a courtesy with information provided by the Egg Harbor Township Police Department
Beginning, Tuesday, March 19 through Friday, March 22, a temporary detour will be in effect in the northbound lane of Robert Best Road, between Steelmanville Road and Vella La Vella Lane in Egg Harbor Township, 7 AM – 5 PM, weather permitting, for municipal road repair work. The southbound lane will remain open.
Motorists should plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Advisories for Week of March 18
Westcoat Road, Egg Harbor Township
Beginning Monday, March 18 and continuing for approximately 2-3 weeks, a full detour will be in effect on Westcoat Road between Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township and Mill Road in Absecon, 7 am – 5 pm weekdays, for work by a private developer.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Green Bank Bridge, Mullica Township
Beginning Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22, a detour will be in effect for the Green Bank Bridge in Mullica Township for mechanical and electrical repair work.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route and plan travel time accordingly.
In addition, to facilitate bridge repair, the Green Bank Bridge will be maintained in the closed-to-navigation position from 7 a.m. on Monday, March 18 through 4 p.m. on Friday, March 22. Vessels able to safely pass through the bridge in the closed position may do so at any time. The bridge will operate in accordance with federal operating regulations at all other times.
Hammonton and Mullica Township
Beginning Monday, March 18 and continuing for one week, a single lane, alternating traffic pattern will be in effect along the following roadways in Hammonton and Mullica Township for roadway repairs and resurfacing work, 7 am – 3:30 pm. Traffic directors will be on site to assist. Motorists may experience minor delays and should plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Hammonton-Pleasant Mills Road – at various locations between the White Horse Pike and Pleasant Mills-Weekstown Road
Pleasant Mills-Weekstown Road – at various locations between Hammonton-Pleasant Mills Road and Elwood-Pleasant Mills Road; and between 7th Avenue and Elwood-Weekstown Road
Elwood-Weekstown Road – at various locvations between 5th Avenue and Pleasant Mills-Weekstown Road
Pitney Road, Galloway Township
Beginning Wednesday, March 20 through Friday, March 22, a single lane, alternating traffic pattern will be in effect along Pitney Road in Galloway Township, approximately 1,000 ft. north of E. Ridgewood Avenue, 7 am – 3:30 pm, weather permitting, for county drainage improvement work.
Delays are expected. Motorists should plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.

On Friday, January 26, at approximately 9:30 AM, weather permitting, and following the reopening of Bevis Mill Road, a year-long detour is scheduled to go into effect onSomers Point-Mays Landing Road in Egg Harbor Township between Steelmanville Road and English Creek Avenue for reconstruction of bridge EH-29.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Beginning on or about Wednesday, January 24 (following the reopening of Bevis Mill Road), Somers Point-Mays Landing Road in Egg Harbor Township will be closed to traffic between Steelmanville Road and English Creek Avenue for reconstruction of bridge EH-29.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route. The detour is expected to remain in place for approximately one year.
