DEFENSIVE TACTICS AND GROUND FIGHTING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS IN-SERVICE

This course is meant to develop and strengthen officers' arrest techniques, defensive and offensive moves using hands, arms, legs, and feet to block, and take down techniques to thwart popular ground fighting moves. Also edged weapon controls and disarm techniques.


With the recent popularity of ground and ultimate-style fighting, many civilians are studying this type of combat. Many use of force encounters with law enforcement officers end up on the ground. This makes ground fighting skills for officers more important than ever.


The drills in this course are rigorous; participants should be in GOOD physical condition. The uniform for this course is PT gear with water bottle.


NJ PTC certified instructor, Jose Tabora, owner/operator of Bullpen Vale Tudo, is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Robson Moura, training for over 20 years. Jose has been learning and teaching Muay Thai for 9 years under Sakasem "The Punisher" Kanthawong.
