 Incident Response to Terrorist Bombing

The Richard Stockton College of NJ Police Department in conjunction with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, Middle Atlantic Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network (MAGLOCLEN), and U.S. Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey, will be sponsoring a training entitled: “Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings” on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Alton Auditorium, 101 Vera King Farris Dr, Galloway, NJ 08205. The workshop is a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) approved initiative and will be presented by New Mexico Tech, a DHS Consortium member. There is no cost to attend the workshop.
This is a performance level (operations) course designed to prepare sworn law enforcement, certified fire fighters, certified EMTs, public works, and public safety communications personnel, to perform effectively and safely during bombing incidents, principally in support roles within the warm and cold zones of the incident scene. The course includes a familiarization with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and explosive materials, and detailed training on critical response actions during pre- and post-detonation operations. In addition, the course addresses actions that emergency responders can take to prevent and/or deter bombing attacks against targets in their communities.
