This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of crime scene preservation and the role of forensic science in law enforcement. The student will also learn the concepts and procedures of crime scene photography. Topics will include: introduction to Forensic Science; crime scene photography (to include both film and digital); source and relevance of serological fluids and trace evidence; locating latent fingerprints and the various technique utilized in processing and lifting found latents; locating and processing of impression evidence; and crime scene sketching. Students should bring their work cameras.
