Atlantic City and Ventnor Elections Scheduled for May 12

The Atlantic County Superintendent of Elections reminds all Atlantic City and Ventnor voters that the Atlantic City Special Election originally scheduled for March 31 has been postponed to Tuesday, May 12 and will run in conjunction with Ventnor’s Municipal Election to be held the same day. 

The Atlantic City election was postponed by Executive Order of the Governor which also directed both elections to take place by VOTE-BY-MAIL ballot.

Given this postponement, the new deadline for Voter Registration will be Tuesday, April 21.  Those wishing to register to vote for the first time can complete a paper Voter Registration Application by downloading a form at https://nj.gov/state/elections/voter-registration.shtml, and returning it by mail to the Commissioner of Registration, Maureen Bugdon, 1333 Atlantic Avenue, 4th Floor, Atlantic City, NJ 08401.  

A mechanism is also in place at both the County Office Building in Atlantic City and the Historic County Courthouse in Mays Landing where forms can be safely delivered.  Voters who do not have access to a computer or need to update their registration information, should contact the Commissioner of Registration at 609.645.5882 for further assistance. Voter Registration forms can be mailed to allow voters to update their profiles.
