An all-new program designed for officers who is dispatched by police radio to a scene where a particular type of crime or offense is currently being perpetrated. The program will review both major and minor types of events to which officers are typically called to investigate. Topics include: (1) how a call of a crime in progress is different from other type calls; (2) FBI Part One Crimes; (3) non-FBI Part One Crimes and Offenses to which officers called to investigation; (4) factors officers must take into account prior to arrival on the scene. The next portion of the program will consider and discuss at some length common crimes investigating officers are called to investigate and what must be taken into account prior to arrival at the scene; (1) rape in progress; (2) robbery in progress; (3) burglary in progress; (4) motor vehicle theft in progress; (5) person with a gun complaint; and (6) domestic or other type disturbance in progress; (7) initial investigation and officer safety considerations; and (8) reporting to police radio results of the on-site investigation.
