This course is designed to train law enforcement officers in the public safety sector, that wish to learn current industry standards, best practices, new procedures and be acquainted with training and auditing equipment and procedures.

The format of this course includes the use of classroom instruction, group discussions and video footage alongside practical exercises.

Hands-on training with inert explosive devices and their component parts is a major part of the course.

The course is scheduled for three full working days.

Day 1
Arrival
Greetings & formal presentation.
Lectures: Introduction to terrorism, Suicide bomber, World terror groups, Past events, Islam and Jihad.
Lectures: Standard explosives/Improvised explosives, Explosive device (components), Screening principles and accentual points, Items categorization for screening purposes, Explosive devices and components under the x-ray, CT technology, mmWave technology (full body imaging), Sniffer technology, Chemical kits, Body check.

Workshop - Body check (pat down and magnetic wand).

Day 2
Lecture - Krav Maga, Israeli fighting system.
Workshop - Krav Maga: suicide bomber techniques.
Lectures: Cargo check, Documentation (document types, flight tickets, tale tail), Questioning, Open vs closed. Behavioral recognition (physiological responses to terrorist or criminal activity).

Day 3
Lectures: Security drills and tests, Red team activities, Security management, Effective Management for Security Managers.
Training: IED concealment workshop, Red team.
Demonstrations: K-9 training and work.
