This is an eight (8) hour course designed to improve the effectiveness of speed enforcement through the proper use of police traffic RADAR. The course covers the mandated four (4) hours of classroom instruction and the four (4) hours of supervised hands-on practical training in RADAR operation. An additional eighty (80) hours of hands-on, non-enforcement operation of the RADAR equipment is to be completed at the officers' respective agencies to satisfy the certification requirements through the Division of Criminal Justice. Fee is $150 for out-of-county agencies
