    Levinson Honored by American Legion

Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson was recently honored by the American Legion with the presentation of its 100th anniversary commemorative gold coin.

Levinson received the coin from Commander Russell S. Robinson, Post 81, Pleasantville and American Legion Department Executive Committee member, on behalf of Robert W. Looby, Past State Commander, during Atlantic County’s 35th annual Veterans Memorial Ceremony on May 24 at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor.

“I am deeply honored to receive this anniversary coin from the American Legion, the country’s largest veterans’ service organization,” said Levinson. “Atlantic County will continue to support our veterans and their families and honor the memories of those we have lost.”

Robinson thanked Levinson and Atlantic County for their efforts over many years and their deep respect for our veterans.

These efforts include the establishment of the Atlantic County Veterans Services Office, the Atlantic County Veterans Advisory Board, the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery and Museum and the new veterans’ wing at the Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
