Public use of Atlantic County Park Facilities is subject to the provisions of Chapter 97 of the Atlantic County Administrative Code.

Camping season runs April 1st to October 31st. See below for site maps and information on Atlantic County camping facilities. For more detailed information please visit the reservations and camping fees page or call the reservation office at (609) 625-8219.

Lake Lenape is located in Mays Landing and has 30 sites available. User's fees for Lake Lenape sites are $17.00 a night for up to 6 people (Family/Individual sites). Reservations can be made online using the link below or in person at the Lake Lenape Reservations office/Boat house.

This camping area is used for group camping only. The camping sites may only be used during the camping season. There are two group sites, which hold up to 20 people and are $25.00 a night.

Paraphrased from the the provisions of Chapter 97 of the Atlantic County Administrative Code - full text is available upon request.The Atlantic County Division of Parks and Recreation, in order to facilitate the best use of the camping facilities, has adopted the following in regard to the camping reservation policy.

  • All furred animals are prohibited in all overnight facilities, except for service animals.
  • The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
  • No more than 2 vehicles may be parked at the individual campsite.
  • Campers MUST check in by 9pm. To allow one hour set up before quiet time at 10pm. 
  • Visitors to campsites are permitted between the hours of 8 AM and 8PM only.
  • A permit and site number assignment are required prior to occupying a site.
  • Minimum permittee age is 18 and said permittee or another responsible adult (name filed on permit) must occupy and be responsible for the site during the entire period of occupancy.
  • A storage fee of $25 may be charged for any equipment left on site that has been unoccupied for more than 24 hours.
  • Fires allowed only if checked on permit. Permission for fires may be revoked at any time due to weather or safety conditions.
  • Dead wood may not be gathered without specific permission.
  • Furniture may not be removed from buildings or moved from one location to another. This includes picnic tables.
  • No person shall abuse, mutilate, injure, remove, or destroy any living plant or animal, or structure or other physical features or properties on lands under jurisdiction of the Atlantic County Division of Parks and Recreation. Visitors will be held liable for damages.
  • Trash must be placed in refuse containers provided.
  • Conduct or language which is indecent or unduly annoying to other visitors or Park personnel is prohibited and may be sufficient cause for removal, arrest and prosecution of the offender.
  • Excessive noise is prohibited from 10 PM to 7 AM.
  • No boat, canoe, or watercraft of any type is permitted within 200 feet of designated swimming areas. Swimming or diving from boats and watercraft of any kind is prohibited.
  • Posting of signs, distribution of advertising, selling or attempting to sell or commercial enterprise is prohibited.
  • Campers agree to indemnify and hold harmless the County of Atlantic, its elected officials, agents, servants, and employees from any loss, claims, actions, expenses, judgments, subrogation’s, or other expenses by reason of any real or alleged injury to any person arising out of, or incidental to, camping within Atlantic County Parks.
  • Refunds will be issued for cancellations received in writing at least 14 days prior to the date for which the permit is issued. All fees will be forfeited if canceled with less than 7 days notice unless the Division is able to fill the vacancy for the period in question.
  • Unlicensed motor vehicles are prohibited. Licensed vehicles are restricted to defined roadways and parking areas.
  • NO swimming from campsites.
  • Travel trailers are not permitted in campsites.
