New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced Route 54 will be closed and detoured overnight this week for milling and paving in Buena Vista, Atlantic County.
Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Monday, September 13 until 6 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, September 14, Route 54 southbound is scheduled to be closed between Weymouth Road and Route 40 in Buena Vista, Atlantic County. This closure will allow the contractor to mill and pave the roadway, which is in poor condition. Route 54 northbound will remain open.
Beginning at 8 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, September 14 until 6 a.m. the following day, Wednesday, September 15, Route 54 northbound is scheduled to be closed in the same area for milling and paving. The newly-paved southbound lanes will remain open. Motorists are advised to follow the signed detour which will be in place.
