Fire Road and Old Egg Harbor Road, Egg Harbor Township

Beginning at 7 AM on Thursday, May 4 through 7 PM on Friday, May 5, weather permitting, a full detour will be in effect on Old Egg Harbor Road in Egg Harbor Township between Hingston Avenue and Fire Road, for road work related to the Walmart construction project.

Beginning at 6 PM on Tuesday, May 9 through 8 AM on Saturday, May 13, weather permitting, a full detour will be in effect in Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township between Tilton Road and Washington Avenue, for road work related to the Walmart construction project.

During construction these roadways will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. Police will be on site to provide access for local traffic and emergency vehicles ONLY.

Portions of Fire Road and Old Egg Harbor Road will reopen to traffic throughout the evening and overnight hours of Friday, May 12 through the following morning but delays may still be encountered.

On Saturday, May 13 the roadways will fully reopen to all traffic.

The new traffic signals at Fire Road and Old Egg Harbor Road, and Old Egg Harbor Road and Hingston Avenue will be put into flash mode beginning Wednesday, May 3, and will be fully activated on Monday, May 15.  Lane shifts may be needed during the activation process. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution in dealing with these new and altered traffic patterns.
