In a recent unannounced visit by the New Jersey Department of Health, Atlantic County’s Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was found deficiency-free in a review of its COVID-19 infection control practices.
“Given all that has occurred during the past three years and the particularly harsh impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on long term care facilities, this is extremely gratifying news. I commend our Meadowview team for its expertise and dedicated efforts under very trying circumstances,” stated Dennis Levinson, Atlantic County Executive. “I am extremely proud of each of our team members.”
The infection control survey was conducted on July 14, 2023 and found the facility in compliance with 42 CFR 483.80 infection control regulations and implementation of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended practices to prepare for COVID-19.
“This reaffirms Meadowview’s tradition of excellence as a quality facility that takes pride in protecting the health and safety of those who reside there,” added Levinson.
The Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located at 235 Dolphin Avenue in Northfield, is owned and operated by Atlantic County. It is a 180-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitative facility that includes a 30-bed Veterans Wing.
