Waive-Fee Wednesdays Begin June 7 at Atlantic County Animal Shelter

Beginning Wednesday, June 7 and continuing each Wednesday through September 6, the Atlantic County Animal Shelter is waiving all fees for dogs adopted from its shelter.

“The goal of our ‘Waive-Fee Wednesdays’ is to promote dog adoptions,” stated County Executive Dennis Levinson. “We had great success with our Memorial Day weekend promotion finding homes for 8 dogs and 9 cats. We hope to build upon that success with these weekly canine promotions.”

All adopted dogs receive mandatory sterilization, age-appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and a free veterinary consultation as well as two free obedience classes. The normal adoption fee for a dog is $110.

The shelter is located at 240 Old Turnpike Road in Pleasantville and is open to the public by appointment seven days a week, 1-4 PM.
