Atlantic County Facilities Claim Best of the Press Honors

The public voted and the results are in. The Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was voted the best long-term care facility in the annual Best of the Press Readers’ Choice awards. The 180-bed facility is located at 235 Dolphin Avenue in Northfield. It is owned and operated by the county and includes a 30-bed Veterans Wing.

“It is deeply gratifying to know that the dedicated efforts of our Meadowview team are valued and appreciated,” County Executive Dennis Levinson stated. “The pandemic brought extreme challenges to healthcare workers, but I am proud to say that the care and compassion our Meadowview employees have for their patients has never faltered. They are an outstanding example for us all.”

The Atlantic County Library System was also recognized by readers taking the top three places for Best Library. The Ventnor branch won the gold medal followed by silver medal winner Galloway branch and bronze medal winner Egg Harbor Township branch.

“Several of our branches have been recognized before, but it never gets old,” noted Levinson. “We appreciate the public’s support and will continue to do our best to provide the services they want and need.”

The library system includes seven additional branches in Absecon, Brigantine, Egg Harbor City, Hammonton, Mays Landing, Pleasantville and Somers Point. For more information, visit www.atlanticlibrary.org.
