Atlantic County Extends Vaccination Clinic Hours for Boost NJ Day, December 15

In recognition of the one-year anniversary of the first COVID-19 vaccine administered in New Jersey, Atlantic County will participate in Boost NJ Day on Wednesday, December 15 by extending the hours of its free COVID-19 vaccination and booster clinic.

The free clinic is provided by the Atlantic County Division of Public Health each Tuesday through Thursday at 201 S. Shore Road in Northfield. County residents 18 years and older may receive their choice of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines and boosters in addition to annual flu shots.

The clinic’s normal hours are 9 AM – 12 noon, but on Boost NJ Day, hours will be extended to 6 PM. No appointments are necessary but face masks are required for entrance. Those receiving a booster shot should bring their vaccination card.

In Atlantic County, more than 341,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.  More than 163,000 individuals are considered fully vaccinated and more than 42,000 have received additional third shots or boosters.

“Getting vaccinated is still the best protection against severe illness, hospitalization or death,” stated County Executive Dennis Levinson. “Unfortunately, we have seen an increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the state in the last few weeks. So as residents plan to participate in holiday activities, we strongly encourage them to get vaccinated and boosted to protect themselves and their loved ones. Vaccination is a gift that can save lives.”

The Atlantic County Division of Public Health also offers a free vaccination clinic each Tuesday, 10 AM – 1 PM in Hammonton at 310 Bellevue Avenue.

For more information, please call the Division of Public Health at (609) 645-5933.
