Covid-19 Update: Three Deaths and 22 More Cases Confirmed

Twenty-two more residents have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the cumulative countywide total to 3,497, according to Atlantic County health officials. Of those, 1,926 have been cleared as recovered.

Three additional residents have died as a result of Covid-19. They include a 48-year-old Atlantic City man, a 70-year-old Egg Harbor Township man, and an 81-year-old Hammonton woman. To date, Covid-19 has claimed the lives of 239 Atlantic County residents.

Today’s new cases were found as follows: four in Atlantic City; three each in Egg Harbor Township, Galloway, Hamilton Township and Hammonton; two each in Absecon and Pleasantville; and one each in Linwood and Ventnor.

Atlantic County will continue to provide Covid-19 testing at its drive-thru facility in Northfield at Rt. 9 and Dolphin Avenue, behind the county public works yard, each Tuesday in August, 9 AM – 11:30 AM.

The test site is available for both symptomatic and asymptomatic county residents with or without a doctor’s prescription. Residents must make an appointment for testing and provide proof of county residency and appointment confirmation.

Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel no less than 24 hours in advance so others may have an opportunity to fill those spots.

A list of additional testing locations in Atlantic County is available at: https://www.atlantic-county.org/covid/additional-testing-locations.asp
