Testing Continues with 24 More Residents Confirmed for Covid-19

On Friday, July 3, Atlantic County health officials confirmed the death of a 75-year-old Absecon man with underlying health conditions from complications of Covid-19. Additionally, health officials reported 24 more residents have tested positive for the disease, including 14 males, ages 5-56, and 10 females, ages 12=90.
 
Today’s cases were identified as follows: six in Egg Harbor Township, four in Atlantic City, three in Egg Harbor City and two in Hammonton. Absecon, Brigantine, Buena Borough, Corbin City, Galloway, Hamilton Township, Linwood, Pleasantville and Ventnor each had one new positive.
 
To date, 2,994 residents have tested positive with 1,505 having been cleared as recovered. Covid-19 has claimed the lives of 209 county residents.
 
Atlantic County will continue to provide Covid-19 testing by appointment for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription on Tuesday, July 7 in Northfield behind the county’s public works yard at Route 9 (New Road) and Dolphin Avenue. Appointments are available 9 AM – 11 AM and can be made online at www.aclink.org.
