Atlantic County to Rename Northfield Senior Center

Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson will rename the Leinweber Senior Center and Nutrition Site in Northfield in memory of Norwin R. Kraemer, a Northfield resident who volunteered daily at the site for 34 years and was a 12-year member of the Atlantic County Senior Citizens Advisory Board, at a brief ceremony to be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 1.

The facility is located at 235 Dolphin Avenue behind the county's Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and is one of 10 senior center/nutrition sites operated by Atlantic County. Residents 60 years and older may attend the sites and participate in a variety of activities including line dancing, crafts, computer classes, self-defense courses, bingo and more. A lunch time meal is provided each weekday. There is no charge to participate.
