On Wednesday, June 26, local scout troops in cooperation with Atlantic County Parks staff will honor the memories of our fallen veterans and their spouses who are buried in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery with the placement of flags on their grave sites in preparation for the July Fourth holiday.
Scouts who perform this service on two of three occasions throughout the year (Memorial Day, July Fourth and Veterans Day) will be eligible to receive the Atlantic County Patriotism Patch in recognition of their efforts.
The Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery is located in the county park at 109 State Route 50 in Estell Manor, adjacent to the Atlantic County Veterans Museum.
In the event of inclement weather, the flag placement will occur on Thursday, June 27.
