As of June 21, 2020, the New Jersey Department of Health is permitting residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities to enjoy reunions with loved ones in designated outdoor spaces. For the protection of our residents, visitors and staff, the following procedures must be implemented:
Any resident who is suspected or confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 or quarantined for a COVID-19 exposure cannot have visitors. A resident who has tested positive is allowed visitation after they have met the criteria for discontinuation of isolation.
There will be only two visitors permitted at a time for each 30-minute visit, by appointment only.
Each visitor and resident must wear a face covering at all times throughout the visit.
Each visitor and resident must observe social distancing by remaining at least six-feet apart without any physical contact.
Only a staff member may transport a resident and must remain with the resident for the duration of the visit.
Eating and sharing of food or beverages is not permitted during visitation, however, the visitor may bring a drink for him/herself. Any beverage brought by a visitor for a resident must be given to the staff member to serve to the resident.
Each visitor must read and sign an attestation form at time of visit. A copy of the form is available here for your review prior to visiting but must be signed in person by both the visitor and resident.
If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please cancel so that someone else may be able to fill that spot.
In the event of inclement weather, appointments may need to be rescheduled.
Any visitor who experiences COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days of visit must report this information to Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, as well as any diagnosis of COVID-19.
We will continue to monitor and review the evolving situation as it relates to COVID-19 and make any necessary changes as needed to protect the health and safety of our residents, visitors and staff. Any such changes or modifications will be promptly communicated to all.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation and are excited to welcome you back.
