Make an AppointmentAtlantic County’s Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has enjoyed a tradition of excellence since the early 1970's. Today, our pleasant, modern 180 bed facility continues to offer long term care and rehabilitation service under the direction of a professional staff, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of our residents. Conveniently located in Northfield, Meadowview's landscaped grounds are highlighted by a lovely park and gazebo enjoyed by residents and visitors throughout the year.
At Meadowview, we've developed an inter-disciplinary approach to patient care. Working as a team, our doctors, nurses, dietitians, therapists, social workers and recreation professionals develop a comprehensive and fully coordinated care plan for each patient.
Complete medical services are provided. A staff physician makes rounds daily, Monday through Friday, and is available twenty-four hours, seven days a week on an on-call basis. Dental services are provided on site through the John H. Cronin Medical Dental Center, operated by Atlantic County in conjunction with the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Podiatry services are available through a consulting service in our on-site foot clinic. Hospital care is available just minutes away at Shore Medical Center or at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus.
Our dedicated staff of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nurses aides work together to provide excellent care on a daily basis. Currently, over 50 percent of Meadowview's RNs are certified in Gerontology by the American Nursing Association. We encourage all our staff to advance their training by offering on-going educational programs featuring new techniques and medical advances.

Meadowview provides a full range of physical, occupational and speech therapy rehabilitation services in a fully equipped therapy gym. Therapies are available for post-acute care hospital rehabilitation in addition to on-going restorative services, using an inter-disciplinary approach, all designed to provide residents with the opportunity to achieve and maintain the highest practicable level of day-to-day activity.
Meadowview's recreation department offers residents carefully planned therapeutic activities which meet our resident's physical, social, and spiritual needs through group and individual activities. Birthdays and holidays are made special through celebrations and decorations throughout our facility.
We offer Hospice Care to patients who have a terminal illness with a limited life expectancy. We partner with community providers to provide caring and compassionate Hospice Care, and to support the family through this difficult time.
An active volunteer group of caring men and women, known as The Friends of Meadowview, assists both residents and staff in countless ways. Our volunteers operate the home's well-stocked gift shop. They help transport residents who use wheelchairs or walkers to Meadowview's beauty shop and clinics, and, most importantly, provide friendship and companionship to residents.
For information on volunteering, contact our social services department at 609-645-5955.
