TRAFFIC ADVISORIES Currently in effect on county roadways
Columbia Road, Hammonton
On Thursday, August 18 and Friday, August 19, single lane, alternating traffic patterns will be in effect for portions of Columbia Road in Hammonton, between Middle Road and Hammonton-Pleasant Mills Road, 7 AM – 4:30 PM, weather permitting, for guide rail replacement work.
Motorists may experience delays and should plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Beginning Monday, August 22 and continuing for approximately three weeks, a detour will be in place in the southbound lane of Bargaintown/Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township between Mill Road and Zion Road, 7 AM – 4 PM, weather permitting, for utility work by the South Jersey Gas Co. The northbound lane will remain open.
Southbound motorists are advised to follow the posed detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route. Police and traffic directors will be on site to assist. The southbound lane will reopen after 4 PM each day and close by 7 AM the following morning.
Traffic Advisory UPDATE - Eighth Street Bridge, Folsom
Beginning Monday, August 15, emergency repairs on the Eighth Street Bridge in Folsom are scheduled to begin and continue through September 14. The bridge would then reopen for local traffic with weight limits posted for heavy trucks while the design of the new replacement bridge is completed.
Mill Road, Egg Harbor Township
Beginning Monday, March 7 and continuing through the end of 2022, Mill Road in Egg Harbor Township, will be closed to eastbound traffic between Patcong Drive and Fire Road as part of an $84 million New Jersey Turnpike Authority project to improve the Garden State Parkway between mileposts 30 and 35. The westbound lane will remain open to traffic throughout construction unless otherwise noted.
Eastbound motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly.
