Friends of the Parks is a non-profit citizen’s group established in 1985 with the mission to “promote and encourage open space and historic sites and the development, expansion, and enjoyment of the Atlantic County Park System.” As of 2016, the park system’s holdings total 7,325 acres!
The goal for Friends of the Parks is to assist the continued growth of the park system, its programs, and to encourage visitors to get involved in all the natural, cultural, and recreational opportunities our parks have to offer. We rely on interested and enthusiastic people who want to support and promote the Atlantic County Parks.
