    Hours of Operation:

    The Atlantic County Animal Shelter is open for business daily 1-4pm by appointment only for adoption services and redemption of impounded strays at (609) 485-2345.
    Any incoming strays should be directed to the local Animal Control Officer for proper processing.

    Atlantic County Animal Shelter In the News - The Rescue Dog That Rescued Us

    On Friday, June 19, a group of Volunteers from Atlantic City Electric dropped off donations and spent some quality time with our adoptable dogs and cats. Gloria, one of our long term adoptable dogs, was particularly grateful for the love, playtime, and snacks! Just look at the smile on her face! Thank you Atlantic City Electric!

    Adoption Fees:

    The following fees currently apply to the adoption of animals.

    Puppies and Dogs: $110.00 The adoption fee includes mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and a free veterinary consultation.

    Kitten and Cats: $85.00 each additional Feline adoption $42.50 The adoption fee includes mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and a free veterinary consultation.

    The following are also available for an additional fee:

    Home Again Microchip: $30.00

    I.D. Tag: $6.00

    We Appreciate Your Generosity, but...
We can only accept donations of food, towels and newspapaers.

    Do you love animals? Volunteer!

    Volunteers are always needed to help exercise and socialize the animals in the shelter.  Training is provided.  Volunteers must be over the age of 18. 

    • One-on-one time with animals
    • Reduce stress in the animals and yourself
    • Make new friends

    Volunteer Hours: Dogs 10am-1pm; Cats 1-3pm
