Heroes on the Water - September 19

The Atlantic County Division of Parks and Recreation will host up to 30 military veterans for a day of fishing, camaraderie and relaxation on Lake Lenape during a Heroes on the Water event on Saturday, September 19.

This is one of 10 such events in New Jersey. Heroes on the Water, a non-profit organization supported by donations, supplies each participating veteran with all necessary equipment including kayaks, fishing gear, personal flotation jackets and a personal guide. Safety instructions and lunch are also included. There is no fee to attend.

“We are honored to be able to host this event once again,” said County Executive Dennis Levinson. “We appreciate the efforts of Heroes on the Water in providing this opportunity for veterans to enjoy some of Atlantic County’s beautiful recreation resources.”
