Beginning Tuesday, March 28 through Friday, March 31, weather permitting, the westbound lane of Mill Road in the vicinity of Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township will be detoured at Oak Avenue in Northfield, 7:30 AM – 4:30 daily for county road work. The eastbound lane will remain open with minimal impact.
On Thursday, March 30, an alternating traffic pattern will also be in effect on Spruce Avenue, between Mill Road and West Jersey Avenue, in Egg Harbor Township, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
Motorists may experience delays and should plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Beginning Thursday, March 23 through Wednesday, March 29, weather permitting, Union Road (CR 671) in Buena Vista Township will be closed between Post Road and Tuckahoe Road, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM weekdays, for county road work. Additionally, an alternating traffic pattern will be in effect on Oak Road (CR 681) at the intersection of Union Road.
Motorists may experience delays and should seek an alternate route and plan travel time accordingly.
Beginning Tuesday, March 21 and continuing for approximately two weeks, a detour will be in effect on Wescoat Road between Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township and Mill Road in Absecon, 7 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday, weather permitting, for work by the NJ Turnpike Authority.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route. Police will be on site to assist.
Beginning Monday, November 28, Middle (Atsion) Road in Hammonton will be closed to all through traffic between Route 206 and South Myrtle Street for road and bridge reconstruction. This closure is expected to remain in effect through March 2017.
Access will be provided throughout construction to residents who live within the closure limits as well as emergency services.
All other motorists are advised to follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route and plan travel time accordingly.
Please note, the following information has been provided to Atlantic County by the NJ Department of Transportation regarding a current project that may impact county motorists.
Beginning January 27 through the summer of 2017, a lane shift will be in effect on Route 50 in Tuckahoe between Mosquito Landing Road and Route 49 for the state’s replacement of the Tuckahoe River Bridge between Upper Township in Cape May County and Corbin City in Atlantic County.
The bridge will remain open to motorists with one lane and a temporary traffic signal to alternate traffic.
A special truck detour will be implemented for both northbound and southbound trucks.
