The seminar is designed for new evidence room technicians or those with little or no previous training on the topic and will focus on the storage, disposal and destruction of evidence and property. Topics include: (1) submission of property; (2) property forms and files; (3) notification to property owners; (4) seized firearms; (5) forensic examinations; (6) handling of confiscated money and currency; (7) handling and storing narcotics; (8) destroying narcotics and paraphernalia; (9) obtaining property for court; and (10) procedures for property of deceased persons.
