Adoption Fees Waived During Animal Shelter Promotion, July 15-31

A select variety of dogs and cats that are ready for immediate adoption will be available during a special “Take Me Home Today” promotion at the Atlantic County Animal Shelter, July 15-31.

The normal adoption fees of $110 for dogs and $85 for cats will be waived during this time, according to Kathy Kelsey, Shelter Manager.

“We often see an increase in animals in our care during the summer months. We hope this event will encourage residents to consider our pets for adoption knowing that we have many to choose from that can be taken home that same day,” she said.

All pets adopted from the shelter include mandatory sterilization, age-appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and a free veterinary consultation.

The shelter is open to the public seven days a week, 1-4 PM with the exception of Tuesday when it closes at 3 PM. It is located at 240 Old Turnpike Road in Pleasantville.
