Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic - Saturday, July 15

The Atlantic County Animal Shelter will be holding its monthly free rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, July 15, 9-11 AM, at 240 Old Turnpike Road in Pleasantville. Please bring dogs on leashes and cats in carriers along with available vaccination records.

Earlier this week, Atlantic County reported its first case of rabies this year in a domestic cat from Egg Harbor Township with an undetermined vaccination history. The cat’s owners are currently receiving post rabies exposure treatment and the households other pets have received rabies boosters.

Rabies is a viral disease that can be fatal if left untreated. Atlantic County health officials urge pet owners to protect their pets and family members with a rabies vaccination. The Animal Shelter provides free rabies vaccination clinics once a month.
