The tropical storm warning for Atlantic County’s coastline has been cancelled as Hermine continues to track far enough offshore to spare the region significant impacts from wind, rain, and storm surge A coastal flood advisory however, is in effect through 5 AM on Tuesday, September 6 with the potential for minor coastal flooding, rough surf, and dangerous rip currents.
Atlantic County emergency officials advise beach goers to continue to exercise caution and only enter water at guarded beaches as permitted.
Motorists are also reminded not to drive through flood waters and to monitor media outlets and the county web sites for updates and any road closures caused by flooding.
