The Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs is proud to announce that four Atlantic County students who participated in the Atlantic County Teen Arts Festival in May have recently been recognized for their creative talents in the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival held earlier this month.
Tevya Parietti, a Hammonton High School student, and Amanda Paule from the Atlantic County Institute of Technology, were each honored with a $1,000 prize funded by the Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation as winners in the “ArtsEdNow” statewide video contest.
Egg Harbor Township High School student Joanne Hoang won the Visual Art Award for a color pencil self portrait while Moira Sweeder from Mainland Regional High School won the Creative Writing Award for her short story “Dear Diary.” Each received a $1,000 scholarship from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. A total of ten scholarships were awarded.
