The Personal Assistance Services Program (PASP) assists adults with permanent physical disabilities who are working, attending school or vocational training and living independently in the community.
Personal assistants help individuals with tasks such as light housekeeping, bathing, dressing, meal preparation, shopping, correspondence, mobility, driving and/or use of public transportation. Individuals may receive up to 40 hours per week depending on need.
Depending on income, some individuals pay no fee. Others pay a portion of the cost of service based on a sliding fee scale. The remaining cost is covered by the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services.
