Beginning Monday, May 22 through Friday, May 26, an alternating lane traffic pattern will be in effect on 6th Avenue in Galloway between Route 30 and Cambridge Court, 6:45 AM to 4:30 PM, weather permitting. Upland Avenue will be closed to through traffic between 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue.
Delays may be encountered. Motorists are advised to plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
On Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23, motorists may experience minor delays with possible alternating traffic on Pitney Road in Absecon, 7 AM to 4 PM, weather permitting, for work associated with the installation of a new pedestrian flashing beacon adjacent to the Attales School.
Beginning Wednesday, May 10 at 7 AM, the current detour on Wesocat Road will be removed to reopen to all traffic through Tuesday, May 16.
On Wednesday, May 17 the detour will once again be in effect on Wescoat Road between Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township and Mill Road in Absecon, 7 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday, until further notice for work by the NJ Turnpike Authority.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour or seek an alternate route. Police will be on site to assist.
Beginning Tuesday, May 9 and continuing for approximately 30 days, a stop and go / lane shift traffic pattern will be in effect on Shore Road/Main Street at various locations between Tilton Road in Northfield and Mulberry Avenue in Pleasantville, 7:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, weather permitting, for work by South Jersey Gas Co.
Police and traffic directors will be on site to assist motorists, however, delays will be encountered. Motorists are advised to plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Beginning Tuesday, May 2 and continuing for approximately 3 weeks, a stop and go/ lane shift traffic pattern will be in effect on Shore Road/ Main Street in various locations between Roosevelt Avenue in Northfield and Tremont Avenue in Pleasantville, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM weekdays, weather permitting, for utility work by the South Jersey Gas Co.
Traffic directors will be on site to assist motorists. Delays may be encountered. Motorists should plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Please note, the following information has been provided to Atlantic County by the NJ Department of Transportation regarding a current project that may impact county motorists.
Beginning January 27 through the summer of 2017, a lane shift will be in effect on Route 50 in Tuckahoe between Mosquito Landing Road and Route 49 for the state’s replacement of the Tuckahoe River Bridge between Upper Township in Cape May County and Corbin City in Atlantic County.
The bridge will remain open to motorists with one lane and a temporary traffic signal to alternate traffic.
A special truck detour will be implemented for both northbound and southbound trucks.
